Best Western Plus Åby Hotel

Stayed 4 nights at this hotel for concerts at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg. Emailed the hotel and they sent directions to reach by public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a nice gym and indoor racquet sports facilities at the hotel, a billiards table and you can see the horses at the track next door. Basic drinks and snacks are available at reception. Breakfast was included and very good. Our room on the 6th floor was small but comfortable and bright, nice view, good shower and good quality toiletries. There was a kettle for tea-coffee and a large ironing board and iron and a safe. It was very hot and the airconditioning worked well.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We travelled with our dog and everyone was so accommodating. Although dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, we were able to have our breakfast with our dog in the lobby which has good and comfy seating options. Very close to Gothenburg with parking options directly in front of the hotel. Room was also very comfortable with great beds.

We stayed for 3 nights as a couple and we enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and clean and the hotel was quiet. The breakfast was good. It was good value for money, even despite the fact that prices for hotels were quite high that weekend because of the Metallica concerts at Ullevi (which was also the reason we went to Gothenburg).

Service was great! Included breakfast was good. It was nice to be able to play pool in th lobby. Overall, it was quiet and peacful if you want to stay away from the center of activities yet be close by when you want to. There is a horse race arena next doors. I am guessing the hotel would be quite crowded when there are events at the arena.

The breakfast was great as well as the gym facilities.
